According to the Lane Report, Kentucky recently held an event to return their unclaimed property. This event proved to be very successful and over $500,000 was returned to unclaimed property owners in Frankfort, KY.

Arkansas is sitting on millions in unclaimed money. As per the recent news reports, the state of Arkansas is said to be sitting on top of a pile of a massive pile of 76 million dollars of unclaimed money.
The state is currently riding on a high pile of 76 million dollars of unclaimed federal assistance money. This money was actually raised for the low-income families residing in the state, but due to some concerns, the amount remains unclaimed. The state treasury is asking people to search the database of the state of Arkansas to get information on the total amount pending under their name. The city of Sacramento has nearly $2 million in unclaimed money owed to residents and businesses. However, the city has recently imposed a deadline of June 25th for organizations to claim their unclaimed money.
Sacramento has recently publicized the list of unclaimed money owners through legal notices, email alerts and social networking sites, however no one from the list is being contacted directly. Some organizations on the list:
SPCA is owed $350
Sacramento Renaissance Tower is owed nearly $8,000
Sacramento Sheriff’s Department is owed over $500
Sacramento County Recorder is owed more than $1,000
If the money is not claimed by June 25, the money will go into the city’s budget for basic services.
