Currently, over $400 million is being held in unclaimed money by the Nevada State Treasurer. Of that, over $1 million is unclaimed savings bonds. There are 5 amounts of unclaimed money that is between $138,000 and $151,000!

It was reported today on WKYT.com that the county of Scott in Kentucky alone has $1.4 million currently existing in unclaimed money. The whole state of Kentucky is working hard to return the millions to thousands of Kentucky residents.

Kentucky plans on getting together a group of volunteers. These people will go through the unclaimed money list in hopes they know a few people on the list, who will then notify those people about their unclaimed money.

The state is also encouraging people to check the state websites and conduct unclaimed money searches of their own.
