Illegal Drugs are Fought with Unclaimed Cash in Utah
Recent reports from the Utah County Health Department substance abuse division states there has been a 2 percent increase in the total number of patients, who are seeking medication and treatment for drug addiction for more than five years. As per the reports, Utah unclaimed cash is piling up at an alarming rate and these can be used to curb the problem easily but there are chances that the rightful owners may not like the idea.
As per the new law of House Bill 28, the law was supposed to fight drug abuse and the law requires the prescribed practitioner to register himself under the state database of controlled substances. The bill is not showing positive signs in Utah, which is why the state plans to use funds that have been inactive for more than a year. Unclaimed cash deposits located here are enough to assist the authorities in implementing certain rules and regulations required to fight illegal drugs in Utah.
State agencies have been in cooperation with the Unclaimed Property Division of the State Treasurer’s Office, which is responsible for managing Utah unclaimed money till the rightful owner is found. The same rule applies to Utah, as the state agencies have to take control of the properties and assets that have been lying inactive with the financial institution for more than a year. The state agencies are planning to utilize the same for fighting illegal drugs that has been hampering the heath of the youth in Utah.
Utah is planning to use the unclaimed cash piled up on the state agencies for fighting illegal drugs that has been disturbing the law enforcement of the region. According to the Utah County Health Department substance abuse division, all the Utah unclaimed money, if utilized in a significant manner, can easily counter the problem of drug abuse.
