Columbus Man Accused of Stealing Unclaimed Funds

Reported recently in NBC4i, Columbus, one man, Alexander Mitchell, has recently been accused of stealing unclaimed money. Mitchell posed as “Capital One Enterprises”, “Franklin Financial Services” and “Asset Recover Specialists” and charged individuals fees to search for their unclaimed funds. Mitchell was granted power of attorney in most of these situations, and took the money he found for these individuals.

Warren County, New Jersey is Holding Unclaimed Property Auction

Reported today on NJ.com, Warren county has announced an auction being held to sell the excess supply of unclaimed property. The auction will be held Saturday, September 8th at the Warren County Road Department Garage.

The auction will start at 10am. The auction-goers will be able to preview and examine the unclaimed items on Friday, from 9am to 3pm Friday, September 7th, and open at 9am on Saturday.

This auction will hold a large variety of items, from trucks and siezed automobiles, to smaller items left behind form inmates.
